The surrounding area is a haven for walkers due to its
outstanding beauty. Olive groves and vines dominate
the terraced slopes. There are plantations of avocado, almond, ornge and lemon trees. Cómpeta sits 625 metres above sea level with views down to the coast of the mediterranean; on a clear day it is possible to see the Riff mountains in Africa and there is a backdrop of the Tejeda and Almijara rangessoaring majestically above. Casa Primavera sits on a ridge overlooking this
wonderful vista.
Whether you are a serious walker or simply wish to meander and enjoy this beautiful area, there are walks for you. Cómpeta has a variety of small shops including a bank, farmacia and doctor. There are some excellent restaurants and a beautiful square which is dominated by a very pretty 500 year old church. Eating and drinking here is an affordable pleasure.
